About KBIZ

Empowering innovation among Korean SMEs, facilitating international development pathways.

Korea Federation of SMEs(KBIZ)

The Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ), established in 1962, is the largest and most representative economic organization for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in South Korea. Representing 99.8% of all enterprises and approximately 88% of the national employment, KBIZ plays a vital role as a bridge between the government, business community, and internationalorganizations.

As a national umbrella organization, KBIZ operates a wide range of specialized departments, including Economic Policy, Innovation & Growth, Smart Manufacturing, Human Resources, Digital Innovation, and Mutual Aid Services. It also maintains regional chapters across the country to ensure local support and active engagement with SMEs nationwide.

KBIZ is committed to enhancing the global competitiveness of Korean SMEs, safeguarding their rights, and fostering a vibrant SME ecosystem.

KBIZ actively participates in APEC and its related initiatives, especially in areas concerning SME cooperation, innovation, and digital transformation. Through continuous dialogue and partnerships with APEC member economies, KBIZ helps facilitate international market access for Korean SMEs, strengthen regional supply chain cooperation, and promote inclusive and sustainable growth across the Asia-Pacific region.

KBIZ Love Foundation

Focusing on the welfare of employees within South Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the initiative provides emergency support including critical illness assistance and accident relief. It also funds charitable programmes such as educational grants for disadvantaged employees' children and adaptation subsidies for foreign workers. Concurrently, through public welfare activities, it promotes the social contributions of SMEs, strengthens the connection between industry and society, and achieves both industrial development and shared social benefit.
